Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Cut potatoes into 1-inch pieces. Pat completely dry with paper towels.
- Toss potatoes with 2 tablespoons olive oil and half the ranch seasoning. Spread in single layer on pan.
- Roast potatoes alone for 15 minutes until starting to golden.
- Add sliced sausage to pan. Drizzle with remaining oil and ranch seasoning. Toss to combine.
- Return to oven for 15-20 minutes until potatoes are crispy and sausage is browned.
- Reduce heat to 350°F. Drizzle heavy cream over everything, then sprinkle cheese evenly on top.
- Bake 5-7 minutes until cheese melts. Optional: broil 2 minutes for golden top.
- Rest 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh chives and black pepper. Serve hot.
Notes
For lighter version, use turkey sausage and reduced-fat cheese. Can prep ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours before final baking. Doubles easily for crowds. Leftovers keep 4-5 days refrigerated.
